Matu Kihato is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Providence Africa Group, a fast-growing and purpose-driven community of enterprises committed to meeting Africa’s most essential needs — through bold, values-based leadership rooted in faith, excellence, and impact.
Matu graduated from United States International University – Africa (USIU-A) in 2015, the same year he founded Providence. What began as a vision to unify his ventures under one mission has since grown into a thriving ecosystem of companies operating across key sectors — including agriculture, energy, healthcare, construction, logistics, manufacturing, real estate, media, and finance.
Anchored in his unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, Matu sees his work not just as business, but as a calling — to honor God, uplift His people, and leave behind a legacy of transformation. Every enterprise under Providence is built to reflect this deeper purpose.
He believes that Africa’s greatest challenges must be solved by African-led solutions, and that true success lies not just in profits, but in people, purpose, and impact.
